Fall Week of Prayer (August 26-30)
This year's speakers, a dynamic duo of faith leaders, had been carefully selected to inspire and challenge the students to deepen their relationship with God and build a lasting legacy pointing to Jesus.
Throughout the week, the speakers shared powerful messages of hope, redemption, and purpose. They encouraged the students to look beyond their own lives and to consider the impact they could have on others. Pastor Erwin shared his own story of surrender, and how God had used him to reach others.
Matt Laredo, another inspiring speaker, shared his journey of disconnecting from technology and reconnecting with life. He recounted stories of a transformative project that prompted him to step away from the digital world, revealing the profound positive impact it had on his well-being and relationships. But that was only half the story - he also issued a challenge to the students, urging them to dive deeper into their faith by reading the Bible consistently and committing scriptures to memory. With passion and conviction, he encouraged them to hide God's Word in their hearts, so that they might be transformed and equipped to make a lasting impact in the world around them.
As the students listened, they began to feel a stirring in their hearts. They realized that they didn't just want to attend church or participate in religious activities - they wanted to live a life that truly made a difference. They wanted to build a legacy that would lead others to Jesus.
The Week of Prayer culminated in a powerful outpouring of commitment, as students responded to the call to deepen their relationship with God. With hearts full of conviction, they made three significant pledges: to embrace Jesus as their personal Savior through baptism, to serve as missionaries for a minimum of six months, and to dedicate their lives to full-time ministry, surrendering their will to God's purpose and plan.
